Oak and ash are woods with open pores, with strong contrasts between the heartwood and the sapwood, so we decided to bring them to the surface by sandblasting. In this way the differences in shade and hardness are emphasised and hence it is possible to appreciate the textures and designs given by the geometry of the growth rings.
Walnut and Cherry, on the other hand, are woods with closed pores; therefore their surface is smooth and uniform, the natural wax enhances the colour, texture and colour variations of the grain
